Thought I would post the following due to the frustration in the lack of comments in your news section.

As you may or not be aware the lack of dedicated servers has causes a bit of a storm.

I think it's safe to assume that the next news show may be quite heavy on the old modern warfare 2 news :) Now the question is do people mind spoilers for it, or has everybody on the planet seen the news?

As a PC fps player on dedicated servers I get the following benefits.

- Been able to play with all of your clan mate's.
- Having a constant ping
- Not having to deal with the youth of today. Just kick them or ban them from the server. This also means that like minded people will come and play on your server because it is well managed. That's how I first got into a clan.
- Someone Hacking just ban them
- Been able to change the rule set for your server. Getting pissed off with the noobtube spamming well remove them or turn down the damage. If people don't like the rule set they won't play but the one's that do will
- Moding Some geeks spend hours and weeks making mods. So when the game get a bit boring you can download a new map to your server and extend the life of the game. It has to be said that some of the maps in the new game look allot like previous mod maps.

I don't think you have clan's as a console player not owned one since my PS2. They have tried to change the way as a PC player we play fps but unfortunately we have different needs as a PC player. It's not just about the game mechanics it's about how we work as clan's.

Have to agree with you on the Amazon front bit silly really.

As a mmo player as well it feels like a nice new mmo has come out but they have removed the ability for me to play with all my guild mates.

I politely disagree.

This is what is called sense of entitlement. You don't own the CoD/MW franchise, you don't have a grand financial investment in CoD/MW2 and you are likely not a stockholder in Activision/Square Enix and nobody is forcing you to buy it 'at gunpoint' either.

So exactly what right do you have to complain? Precisely; none.

You don't like no mod support, then don't buy it tons of games out there that have active and good modding communities out there (TF2 comes to mind for example). CoD/MW2 is hardly a 'first necessity of life'.

Furthermore the claiming that 'pc gaming is dead' based on the lack of mod support in one single game is a bit exaggerated to say the least. To my knowledge no successful mmo's are available for consoles to date and recently released Dragon Age still arguably offers more in the PC version then it does in the console version.

Sorry Jon did not see your reply I would avoid any mention of the excellent single player game as that could upset people with the spoilers.

The "PC Gaming is Dead" was more of a joke based on the podcast news feature :)

I also think that as a franchise we have enjoyed these games and were looking forward to the release of the new version. If we were told this was going to happen from the start I don't think anyone would of complained. We would of just moved on.

Does this give us the right to complain no but it makes us feel better.
