Great show. By completing that troll PQ successfully, you missed the hilarity that ensues when a group tries and fails. The boss comes out and SACKS THE WHOLE AREA. Poor by-standers and all. I wrote about it back in the day: http://notadiary.typepad.com/mysticworlds/2008/09/war-is-everywhe.html

Have you guys gone after the cool Spring Cap? No stats but a sweet achievement/piece anyway: http://notadiary.typepad.com/mysticworlds/2008/09/pardon-me-but-y.html

I haven't heard you mention, but are you at all trying to find the hidden areas/quests/unlocks?

    P.S.
For the PQs – unless they changed how PQs work, during the original launch people wanted to repeat the PQs for the rare armor and crafting components contained in the chest that drops after killing the final boss. It was common to do them over and over for those items. For me at least, filling up the reputation ended up being a passive progression/gain and it filled up long before I finished the PQs in a tier.

The EQ2 team decided to remove the original newbie Isles of Queens Colony and Overlords Outpost a few months ago because they felt they were not up to par with what is expected of a newbie experience these days. All that nice voice acted contented was just switched off :( . You can still travel to Qeynos and freeport and it's surrounding suburbs and lowbie zones though it just takes a bit of travelling.

I suspect the reason Tim has not found the City of Halas and it's crafting/housing area yet is because it's hidden from plain site and accessed via a crevice in the icewall to the left of the main quest hub you arrive at after taking the raft from the very first starter area.
The city itself is great though once you find it, it's much less confusing to navigate than Neriak is and fairly compact with crafting, housing, bank, broker and mail box all close together.

Also although EQ2 has a few scaling zones in the end game from (some level 80 zones scale to 90) none of the early stuff will scale up with your level. However via something called Chronomageing a player can reduce his effective level in increments of 5 right down to level 10. There are even daily quests available that send you off to to kill specific boss's in random level dungeons which if completed reward you with a small model of said boss for your in game house . So a whole group/raid can all set their levels the same and head into any content they missed and experience it as intended.

As for the leveling speed, on the Free server you are leveling 50% slower than those on live as the AA/XP gain silder is locked on 50% unless you subscribe. When you start on live it's on 100% xp by default and most players get to about 20 in 3 hours before they realise lol . Being set at 50% is better in my opinion as you just go way to fast to get a firm grip on what is going on if your new.

Just thought i'd chime in on those things as you both sounded a little unsure about them.

Handy to know, ta! It's been quite a while since I was last in there and seems like a lot of new stuff has gone in since then!

I found the crevice in the end, which also explains what the rolling rocks are all about, which is brilliant! I wonder is it deliberately so hidden? – perhaps you're meant to work your way around to the much more obvious big ramp on the south side, by which time you're probably L17 or so having done all the quests on the way. I do like New Halas's layout – much more convenient than Neriak and Kelethin. Not seen Gorowyn yet.

Also love the idea of 'delevelling on demand'…I'll have to chase that stuff up. Paid-for EQ2 levels even faster? Good grief!

If anyone wants to know, I'm 'Vanhemlock' on the Freeport server – do say Hello! Not sure about Nights Of The Week, Static Groups or Guilds and things yet – we'll see.

Jolly good podogram! One bone to pick though…. I have more time… I have more time?! This is lies! 8 month old burping puking pooping machine that is mini troll mean I don't have time. I am awesome and have a time turner. Either that or I got obsessive. Do the other lego games play as well on the Xbob? We had batman, starwars and indiana jones all on the Wii and they suck. The control is awful, not clear at all, yet on the Xbob it was great fun.
