NB: save games are done remotely.
The thesis being, they’re trying to hold off the cracked version just long enough to get their maximum revenue in the first few weeks, when the bulk of sales are made.

On the Natal vs Arc issue:
I think one of the big reasons for both of these techs isn’t to steal customers from each other, its to steal customers from the Wii who want a more "serious" console, or from people who want a Wii but also want a HD console and the things that come with the PS3/360 (like decent online). I think its more to create an "upgrade" path from the Wii and neither are going to be deal breakers or resulting in switched allegiances.

Finally got the time to listen to this. I’m glad I did, it was a good show.
Fun to hear the DRM is cracked. I’m all against DRM, but the more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that I’d rather have this implementation that something that installs stuff that breaks something on my machine, something that tracks my other programs, something that still do not work because I have a DVD burning program, something that can’t find the CD even though it is in the drive… and so on.
