Van Hemlock Episode 91

This week we’re talking about the games that we have been playing. From LOTRO to Tropico 3, with a rather long stop over at a scary place with Aliens and Predators.

We also say where the news show has gone to, and promise that it’s coming back.

You can follow us on twitter as @vanhemlock and @jonshute or leave us a comment on iTunes. Or you can just enjoy the show.

Look out for the Twitter question on Fridays and have your say.

You can subscribe to the show through RSS or iTunes to receive the show as soon as it’s published each week.

Direct MP3 Download.

Sorry to hear that you’re sick. Loved the show as always. I suck at leaving comments for podcasts. I rarely listen to them while at a PC so remembering to back afterward to do that is epic fail on my part.

But I want to make sure I did this week to thank the 3 shows I still listen to now. I miss them so much if you’re late or skip a week. I’m personally disillusioned with most MMOs I’ve tried that a lot of my gaming enjoyment now comes from listening to others who are still having fun. Is that crrazy? LOL Keep up the excellent work and please don’t stop podcasting!

Another disillusioned MMO gamer here, but I still love listening to the show!

Makes my 1 hour commute to and from work a lot easier listening to the podcast and the news show, and just wanted to say a BIG thank you for all the great work.

Re: Mass Effect (1) on the PC.

You have to remember that this was back in the dark days when Bioware (and others) used to put very little or no effort on the port to the PC. As such, control schemes, menus and hardware optimization were for the Xbox or 360 and not for a PC with a multitude of hardware and (often) better graphics.

I still cringe at the thought of the absolutely horrible port of KOTOR to the PC, which at the time the PC was far superior to the Xbox, yet the game still ran badly.

On a plus note, ME2 runs very well on my machine, and Dragon Age for the PC was pretty much voted the best out of all the various flavours.
